OUR HISTORY Attorneys at law, Carpenter, Harris & Flayhart is the oldest established law firm in the Jersey Shore area, having been established in 1934 by the husband and wife attorney team of Clyde E. Carpenter, Sr. (1899-1987) and Katherine S. Carpenter (1902-1979). Their son, Clyde E. Carpenter, Jr. (1926-1995) was also a member of the firm. L. Craig Harris and Martin A. Flayhart currently partner the firm, joined by associate attorney Lori A. Rexroth. They retain the name of Carpenter, Harris & Flayhart acknowledging the family who founded it.Categories

Advising clients with respect to oil and gas leasing has recently become a growth area in Lycoming and surrounding counties. L. Craig Harris and Martin A. Flayhart have been involved in representing numerous landowners with respect to negotiations with gas companies for leasing of their properties. Future issues that will affect many property owners in central and north Lycoming and surrounding counties include rights-of-way for pipelines required to connect each new well drilled to the large gas transmission lines crossing Lycoming County.
